Keynote Speaker
Dr. Eugene Kim: Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping education, work, and society. But what is AI, really – what does its acceleration mean for our classrooms and our calling as Christian educators? This session will define AI in accessible terms, explore the speed of current technological change, and examine how the future of work is shifting in response. More importantly, we will ask a deeper question: what remains uniquely human? Grounded in a Lutheran understanding of vocation and formation, this presentation re-frames AI not as a replacement for teachers, but as a tool to steward wisely. Participants will explore practical educational exemplars that keep humans at the center, prioritizing wisdom over efficiency, relationships over automation, and formation over information. Together, we will consider how Lutheran schools can lead courageously in an intelligent age while preserving the sacred work of teaching.
