“Going Beyond the Story:  Everyday with Jesus”

Going beyond the story is an essential piece of authentic faith development. Understanding basic concepts of a Bible story is important, but our goal in this workshop is to go beyond the stories and creatively connect them to the daily lives of young children.

God works in mysterious ways! Even when we don’t see the benefits or outcomes of His work, He is still at work in our lives. There are connections to God’s love in many aspects of our classrooms. Whether it is through integration with a science experiment or reading a popular, secular picture book, Jesus is all around us. As educators, it is vital that we are able to help children discover and develop a child’s personal connections and experiences to Biblical topics. We hope to support children as they learn to serve God and live by faith in His grace.
