2019 “Fish Boil” – Orphan Grain Train

2019 “Fish Boil” Report

The OGT held its 25th Annual Fish Boil on August 9, 2019. The Fish Boil was hosted by Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield. This special project was to help support the “Wisconsin Branch of the Orphan Grain Train” in their mission bringing Christ to the nations.

This project took over 156 volunteer hours to prepare & serve 270 meals.  Our delicious meal again consisted of Alaskan Cod, Red Potatoes, Onions, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Dessert & a Beverage.  Carry outs were made available.

A large number of contributors donated cash, food and supplies to make this still another successful Fish Boil.

As a result of that success, a $4,847.77 cash donation was made to the Wisconsin Branch of the OGT in their ongoing mission.

The extra food was donated to Harris Villa. The uncooked frozen fish was sold and monies were added to the profits.

We hope that next year will bring another successful “Fish Boil”.
