Opportunities to reach our Hispanic neighbors continue to expand in SWD. CPTLN (“Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones” or “Christ for all Nations”), a unique partnership between SWD congregations, SWD, and Lutheran Hour Ministries, and a grant from the Siebert Lutheran Foundation, has solidified outreach efforts on the south side of Milwaukee and in Racine. Pastor Alfonso Prada, at St. Martini, Milwaukee, has forged a great relationship with our LUMIN school there. Pastor German Novelli, Jr. leads Grace Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, and expands efforts in their Hispanic community. Edmundo Rosales, a student at the Center for Hispanic Studies at Concordia Seminary, helps lead Santa Cruz (“Primera Iglesia”) in Racine with his mentor, Pastor German Novelli, Sr. And Vicar David Blas is working with the Hispanic ministry outreach in Sheboygan with leadership from the pastors and people of St. John (Plymouth), St. Paul (Sheboygan Falls) and Immanuel and St. Paul (Sheboygan). This ministry was the result of a coalition of three circuits, who also have received support from SWD and LCMS-Hispanic Ministry.
