Tuesday, October 09, 2007 :: 1626 Views :: 0 Comments :: Article Rating :: National news ::

Lutheran Hour Ministries float will be in the Tournament of Roses Parade on Monday, Jan. 1, 2008. The theme of the parade is “Passport to the World’s Celebrations.”

In an age that questions Christian values and messages, the Lutheran Hour float committee invites you to join in presenting the float “Joy to the World, the Lord has Come!” in the 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade, the largest secular event in the world of its kind.

The parade will be broadcast at 10 a.m. CST on ABC, NBC, Univision,  HGTV, Travel Channel and Discovery HD. The parade is also seen in more than 150 international territories.

The float is built, has completed test drives, and is awaiting decoration in December. Pictures of the rendering as well as the test drive are available at petalpushers.org

Petal Pushers is currently recruiting volunteers for the parade. They will be decorating the Lutheran Hour float and other contract floats (to be determined in early fall). Jobs are available for all ages and abilities.
Additional volunteer information and online registration are located at petalpushers.org/cgi/res.
