NLSA captain and consultant training
Feb. 17, 2012 • District office, Milwaukee
Presenter: Terry Schmidt
This training can be helpful for schools seeking accreditation or schools that are already accredited. It pertains to all levels (preschool, elementary and high school). Anyone involved in leading a school accreditation process, or serving as a captain, consultant or team member would benefit through their participation.
Accreditation partnership for the 21st century – Describes the details of our partnership with Advanced and how it will impact the accreditation process for dually accredited schools.
Managing an NLSA process – Outlines responsibilities for school accreditation leaders, and defines the roles of captain and consultant.
Common characteristics of exemplary schools – We have identified our first three “classes” of NLSA exemplary schools. From our work we have defined the characteristics that are commonly displayed at our exemplary schools.
This presentation will be beneficial for any school that is on an intentional pathway to improved quality. In the future, anyone that wishes to serve as a member of a joint accreditation team (advanced & NLSA) must receive this training - it is a requirement.
