Fall stewardship learning communities begin Sept. 8
After great response to last year's stewardship learning communities (SLC), the South Wisconsin District is again offering SLCs, beginning Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011.
The theme for this year’s workshops is, “Feeding the Passion of the Believer.” Each workshop will be lead by a different presenter that will focus on a particular step in the ongoing journey of discipleship.
Thursday, Sept. 8 - 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“The Steward in Worship” – Rev. Dr. Timothy Maschke, professor of theology, Concordia University Wiscinson, Mequon (CUW)
Saturday, Oct. 8 – 8 a.m. to noon
“The Steward in God’s Word” – Rev. Dr. Harald Tomesch, CUW
Saturday, Nov. 12 – 8 a.m. to noon
“The Stewards in Prayer” – Rev. Arthur Umbach, Southeastern District- LCMS
Saturday, Jan. 14 - 8 a.m. to noon
“The Giving Steward” – Phil Meinzen, LCMS Foundation
Saturday, Feb. 11 – 8 a.m. to noon
“The Serving Steward” – panel discussion (panel TBD)
Saturday, March 10 – 8 a.m. to noon
“Encouraging Whole Life Stewardship” – presenter TBD
