Alan is currently the Youth and Missions director at St. Johns in West Bend. He has led mission trips to India, China, Russia, Mexico, and Guatemala. His off the wall personality makes him a magnet for youth of all ages, and a treat for us to have this year.


Pastor Chris Navurskis

Questions you can’t ask your parents
Chris is a pastor of family enrichment at St. Paul Lutheran in Grafton, WI. His biggest joy in life next to his family (wife and 2 kids) is salvation in Christ. He loves road trips to serve Jesus with high school youth and has led servant events to places like Mississippi, Milwaukee, Chicago, and believes that mission starts in our own back yard. His passion for youth comes from the way God saved him from being a high school dropout.


Rev. William P. Yonker

While pastoring his congregation, Immanuel Lutheran Church of East Dundee, Illinois, Rev. William Yonker loves to travel around the country talking to people about the Lord Jesus. Presently, he lives in Illinois. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised in Grand Haven, Michigan, he remains devoted to his birth state of Wisconsin and the Green Bay Packers. Pastor Yonker attended Valparaiso University in Indiana and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. Recently he was named one of “Valparaiso University’s Most Influential 150 Alumni Of The Last 150 years.”

Brian Herbst

Brian is currently a junior at UW-Whitewater and the co-creator of Project Volunteers, a project to speak to schools and churches about giving back. After surviving a roll over car accident 2 years ago it moved him to make a difference in the world which is why he is looking to pursue a career in motivational speaking.


Mackenzie Luce

Mackenzie is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. She became interested in drama in high school and still loves the energy of being onstage. She really enjoys working with youth, and is very excited for the opportunity to be a part of the State Youth Gathering!
