2013 Synod convention advisory delegate self nomination

For every 60 rostered Ministers of Religion—Ordained, the South Wisconsin District is entitled to 1 advisory delegate, as well as 1 advisory delegate for every 60 advisory rostered Ministers of Religion—Commissioned [Bylaw 3.1.3.1] to  national LCMS Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 20-25, 2013.

The election of these delegates and alternates (1-2 ordained and 10-12 commissioned) will take place during registration at the South Wisconsin District Convention at Concordia University Wisconsin on June 10, 2012.

Housing and travel for advisory delegates is paid by the SWD. Advisory delegates receive the same meal allocations as voting delegates. Those elected as advisory delegates are asked to commit to participation by reserving the convention dates on their calendars.

If you are on the roster of Synod, you are eligible to serve in this position, unless you hold a position on one of the Synod’s boards, commissions, educational institutions, or district board of directors If you fall into one of these categories you are eligible to serve as the advisory delegate for that body and ineligible to represent the district and also shall not participate in this election process. [Bylaw 3.1.3.1(c)]
