Thursday, April 17, 2008 :: 53 Views :: 0 Comments :: :: Events ::

On Saturday, May 31, 2008, Brookfield Lutheran (18500 W. Burleigh Rd., Brookfield) will host "If Our Grandmothers Could Talk," a trunk show presented by Linda Honsberger, an American Quilt Society certified appraiser. Free will tax deductible donations will help fund the SOS Center's 2008 youth camp.

Milwaukee's SOS Center summer youth camp gives disadvantaged youth the opportunuty to have fun and learn in a safe, caring environment where they are taught by Christian mentors. In 2007, 140 children gathered in the building which has a licensed capacity of 142. Due to a lack of funding and mentors, over half had to be turned away.

Call Barb after 5 p.m. at (920) 720-9689 or e-mail bak_5495@tds.net to make reservations. Doors open at 9 a.m., the show runs from 9:30-11 a.m., followed by an SOS presentation by Armita Harmon, director.
