Save the date for 'Christ for Africa' mission auction April 2 in Mequon
Save the date and join the members of Trinity-Freistadt, Mequon, on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 6 p.m. for their second annual "Christ for Africa" auction event. They prayerfully ask for donations and supporters to attend this great event. For more information, contact Rev.  Peter Kelm at pkelm@trinityfreistadt.com.
Nearly 200 people attended the gala event last year. The food was fabulous and the silent auction items were a huge hit. The night ended with a voice auction that blew everyone away with God’s grace. In total, more than $45,000 was raised for mission work in the name of Christ to Africans. Proceeds funded:
- A well for the people of Koransai, Ghana
- Mosquito nets, Bibles and catechisms in Ghana
- Funds for a permanent church building for a Lutheran church in Congo-DRC
- Support for the ongoing training of pastors in the seminary in Togo, West Africa
- Support of Pastor Fluegge and his family, who serve at the seminary in South Africa
