This year’s "LifeWalk" benefiting A Place of Refuge will take place on June 16, 2012, at Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran, Milwaukee. Participants will enjoy fun, family friendly activities including continental breakfast, entertainment, children’s activities and lunch. The highlight of the event is a 1.5 mile walk. All events are free, but participants are asked to find individuals, church groups and/or businesses to sponsor their participation in the walk.

Registration, breakfast and activities begin at 9 a.m. and the walk at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow. Oklahoma Avenue Lutheran is located at 5335 W. Oklahoma Ave. in Milwaukee. All funds raised will benefit pregnant women and their children served by A Place of Refuge Ministries of South WI. A Place of Refuge provides advocacy services for women in need and Refuge House, a shelter for pregnant women. Supplemental funds provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
