Primera Iglesia continues to reach out to the Hispanic community of Racine. Worship, Sunday school and Bible study have expanded; new members have been baptized, confirmed and an active youth and community outreach is ongoing. Primera Iglesia dedicated a new multipurpose facility in August, 2002. This has been a tremendous blessing to our outreach to the Hispanic community of Racine, which now numbers more than 40,000 people. The congregation is served by our missionary-at-large, Rev. Pedro Lopez. Recently through a grant from Brookfield Lutheran Church, a new part-time Hispanic music program was begun.
