Contact: Rev. John Reinke, (414) 839-9403
Pastor Reinke is working with Rev. William Palmer in developing new ministries to the deaf. There is great potential for the creation of a “church without walls.” Reinke serves at Our Savior/Madison (formerly Silent Lutheran) and Holy Cross/Delavan. A new mission site located on the east side of Madison was recently purchased through a partnership involving Our Savior congregation, the District and LCEF. The relocation of the
Madison deaf ministries has now been completed. Our deaf church in Delavan (Holy Cross) was recently renovated with the help and financial support of several District congregations. With the support and involvement of members in our District, and LCMS World Missions, Pastors Reinke and Palmer are conducting an outreach and leadership training program in Ghana, West Africa and, more recently, India. They make two to three mission trips each year, and they have seen significant blessing in their work. Reinke is also director of the Deaf Institute of Theology and together with Palmer dialogues theological education materials for deaf ministry.
